An Extended Family Summer Session in the Boise Area

There’s something extra special about getting an entire family together in front of the camera. Grandparents, grown kids, grandkids, siblings, couples and everyone in between.

This extended family session was such a fun summer evening! We started with the whole group together and then broke everyone into smaller family groups, couples, siblings and individual portraits. And of course, we made plenty of room for the laughing, hugging and slightly less serious moments too.

One of my favorite things about extended family sessions is the variety we can capture in just one evening. You walk away with the big group photo everyone wants, but also updated photos of each individual family and all of those smaller relationships that make up the bigger family.

This crew made my job easy, and I love how much personality came through in their gallery. These are exactly the kinds of photographs that become more meaningful as the years go by.
