Some photo sessions are planned around major milestones.
Others happen simply because spending time together is worth celebrating.
This sister session was one of those evenings.
Five sisters, flowing skirts, lots of laughter, and a beautiful Idaho summer evening made for the perfect combination.
We met at Camel's Back Park in Boise for a relaxed summer evening filled with laughter, colorful skirts, and plenty of sister memories.
What I loved most wasn't the outfits or even the location. It was watching the way they interacted with each other. The teasing, the hugs, the laughter, and the effortless connection that only comes from a lifetime of shared memories.
One of my favorite things about photography is preserving relationships exactly as they are right now.
Not perfectly posed.
Not overly formal.
Just a genuine connection.
The photos that often become favorites aren't always the ones where everyone is looking at the camera. They're the moments in between—the laughter, the smiles, and the little interactions that tell the real story.
Of course, we also took time for a few individual portraits and smaller groupings. Those images often become treasured keepsakes and reminders of a special season of life.
As the sun dropped lower and the evening light softened, this session felt less like a photo shoot and more like five sisters simply enjoying time together.
Honestly, those are usually my favorite sessions.
