Respecting Your Story, Your Timing
There’s something really special about those first days with a newborn. The quiet moments, the tiny details, the way everything feels brand new.
I recently finished a beautiful newborn session that I was so excited about. But this time, the family asked me not to share any images just yet.
And the answer is always simple on my end.
Of course.
Because while I am here to document your story, how and when it’s shared is always up to you.
Why Some Families Choose to Wait
Every family is different, and there are so many valid reasons for choosing privacy during those early weeks.
Some families prefer to wait before sharing their baby’s face online.
Others have cultural traditions around when a newborn is introduced publicly.
Sometimes it’s simply about wanting to soak in those first days without the outside world.
There is no right or wrong way to do it.
What matters is that you feel comfortable and supported.
What This Means for Your Session
Choosing privacy doesn’t change the way I photograph your session at all.
Your baby is still handled with care.
Your moments are still documented gently and intentionally.
Your gallery is still filled with the same soft, timeless images.
The only difference is that your photos stay just for you until you’re ready.
Your Story, Your Timeline
As a photographer, I love sharing the moments I capture. But as a mom and a grandma, I understand that not everything is meant to be shared right away.
Some stories are meant to stay close for a little while.
And when you are ready, if you ever choose to share, those memories will be there waiting.
Planning Your Newborn Session
If you’re expecting and thinking about newborn photos, just know that your comfort matters in every part of the process—including privacy.
Whether you want your images shared, partially shared, or kept completely private, I will always honor that.
